Thomas Rabe appointed as new chairman of the board of Sportfive Group
Luxembourg, 16 July 2004 - Following the acquisition of Sportfive S.A. by RTL Group and the funds managed by Advent International Corp. and Goldman Sachs, Jean-Claude Darmon has stepped down from his position as Chairman of the Board and as Board member of Sportfive SA.
Alain Krzentowski replaces him as Board member and as Managing Director of Sportfive S.A. and will have full operational powers over the company.
Thomas Rabe, who is Chairman of the company Sportfive Luxembourg SCA, the top management company of the entire Sportfive Group, has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Sportfive S.A., replacing Jean-Claude Darmon, until the de-listing of Sportfive S.A. from the Paris Stock Exchange has been finalised. Once this process has been completed, Alain Krzentowski will replace him as Chairman of Sportfive S.A.
In addition, the Board of Directors of Sportfive S.A. approved the simplified draft of a takeover bid for the shares of the company Sportfive S.A. filed with the financial markets regulator by Sportfive Group on July 9th, 2004.
