RTL Group launches new website and wins design award
Luxembourg, February 2, 2001 - RTL Group, the leading pan-European broadcasting and production company, has launched a new website, www.rtlgroup.com. As well as providing detailed information on the group, its operating companies and shareholdings, the site contains many special features, including a flash animation and links to 16 on-line radio stations across Europe belonging to the RTL Group. In addition, a specially designed Investor Relations section provides up-to-date financial information and near real-time quotes of the group's share price from the London, Brussels and Luxembourg stock exchanges. Four adjoining URLs, tv.rtlgroup.com (http://tv.rtlgroup.com), radio.rtlgroup.com (http://radio.rtlgroup.com), content.rtlgroup.com (http://content.rtlgroup.com) and newmedia.rtlgroup.com (http://newmedia.rtlgroup.com), connect directly to those sections of the site devoted to each of the Group's business lines. Visitors to the former address, http://www.rtlgroup.com, will be automatically re-directed to the new site.
The launch of www.rtlgroup.com coincides with the announcement that RTL Group has received a prestigious award for its new visual identity, launched in September last year. The new logo and associated visual design, which can be enjoyed on the new site, have won the silver prize at the French annual design and communication awards, TOP COM. The winners were chosen from a field of around one hundred candidates. The award recognises the success of RTL Group in designing, implementing and communicating its new visual identity both within the group itself, and to the outside world. This project was developed in cooperation with the Paris and Brussels offices of the international design agency network MTDS Strategy Design.
