Luxembourg, 16 September, 2003. RTL Group, leading a consortium with local partners, won today a 10 years license tendered by Croatia. The detailed license terms and conditions have still to be discussed with the newly appointed media council.

It is expected that the new nation-wide free-to-air private television channel, which will be "RTL" branded, will be launched in the first half of 2004.

This license represents an opportunity to enter a small but interesting market and hopefully paves the way for further development in the Central and Eastern European markets.
