Luxembourg/ Los Angeles, January 21, 2000

On January 18, CLT-UFA and 20th Century Fox, in which News Corp. is a majority shareholder, concluded an output deal.

This agreement is to guarantee the supply of content by 20th Century Fox for a duration of five years. CLT-UFA has acquired, among others, the rights to such products as ANNA AND THE KING starring Jodie Foster, THE BEACH starring Leonardo DiCaprio, ME, MYSELF AND IRENE, from the producers of SOMETHING ABOUT MARY, and X-MEN, the highly anticipated live action version of the popular comic books.

In addition all future 20th Century Fox television programming will be included in this agreement. Fox produces hit shows such as the X-Files, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Ally McBeal and the Simpsons.

The deal is subject to the approval of the relevant bodies of CLT-UFA and 20th Century Fox.
