Secretary General Dan Arendt to leave RTL Group
Luxembourg, 20 October 2000. -RTL Group has announced the resignation of Dan Arendt, Secretary General and Member of the RTL Group Management Board for personal reasons. However, he will continue with the Group as Chairman of its technical services company, Broadcasting Center Europe (BCE).
Dan Arendt, 39 years old, joined CLT in 1988 and became member of the Management Board in 1993 as Chief Financial Officer. He was promoted in May 1998 Secretary General and Managing Director of all the Luxemburgish activities.
Didier Bellens, Chief Executive of RTL Group said today : "Dan has been an important part of the senior management team that built CLT-UFA over the last decade.
"He also played a key role in seeing the company through its merger with Pearson Television and onto the market as RTL Group and I regret his decision to leave, although I am delighted that he has agreed to maintain links with us through BCE.
"I and all his colleagues and friends on the Board and on the management team wish him every success in the future".
