CLT-UFA Luxembourg, February 27, 1998,

On February 26, 1998, the European Commission has approved the acquisition of Havas Intermédiation by CLT-UFA. The Commission gave its green light to the suggested deal and declared it compatible with common market rules.

This decision allows CLT-UFA to implement the deal approved by its Board of Directors on September 10, 1997 (comp. press release dated 2.10.1997), which foresees an integration of the different IP advertising sales companies into the Group's radio and television activities.

CLT-UFA will take over the operational responsibility for Havas Intermédiation at the beginning of April.
