RTL 7, a new polish language TV channel, will start broadcasting on December 7, 1996. The channel will be broadcast via the Eutelsat Hot Bird satellite and distributed to the Polish cable networks and DTH antennas.
Warsaw November 7, 1996 - A new Polish language general entertainment channel, RTL 7, will be launched on December 7, 1996. RTL 7 is 100% owned by Luxembourg-based CLT Multi Media Group. A team of 50 professionals, most of them of Polish origin, is working on programming and technical aspects. RTL 7 will be a family-oriented channel with a program mix of international series and films, children and youth programs, as well as information and news programs.
RTL 7 will be broadcast from Luxembourg and uplinked to the Eutelsat Hot Bird satellite. The channel will be financed by advertising revenues. IP Polska is in charge of the sale of advertising space.
